The Times of the Signs
"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, but My father only."
Matthew 24:36
"And Jesus answered and said to them: 'Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ' and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." Matthew 24:4-8
The Bible warns that we cannot know the day or the hour of Jesus' return. But, Jesus Himself tells us that we can know the timing of His return.
What Jesus is talking about in Matthew 24:4-8 is the timing. These things will take place when His return is getting near. The timing of His return is also known as the season.
God wants us to know the season, because Jesus' return to Rapture the church, take the church home, will initiate that wrath of God on a world in judgment.
God never has poured out His wrath on a people or nation without first giving them ample warning.
He is warning us today - just like a flashing neon sign......."JESUS IS COMING SOON"

What are the signs that Jesus is giving us?
- Signs of Nature: While we have always had storms, earthquakes and other natural things happen, today they are occurring at a greater frequency and in more intensity. God wants our attention!
- Signs of Society: We are told that 'lawlessness will increase' and that things will be 'like in the days of Noah'. So, what's the sign? Immorality and violence. These are all around us. And, not only are they all around us, but we, as a society, are getting rapidly to the point of condoning it.
- Spiritual Signs: Jesus warns us three times in Matthew Chapter 24 of the rise of false prophets and cults. The early 19th Century brought the Mormons. The mid-19th Century the Jehovah's Witnesses. Two of the largest cults around today. But, today we have untold hundreds, even approaching thousands, of cults. We are in the midst of a cult explosion. Heresy and apostasy abound, even in the professing church.
- Geopolitical, or world-event signs: Jesus tells us there will be wars and rumors of wars. This is exactly what we see today....and again, in more intensity and frequency than at any time in our history.
- Signs of Technology: Daniel was told that the words that he heard were not for his day and to seal them up for a time of understanding. We can understand things more clearly today than in Daniel's time. Revelation Chapter 11 tells of two witnesses who are killed by the Anti-Christ and will lie in the streets of Jerusalem for three and one-half days....and the whole world will look upon them! We are the first generation who can really understand this prophecy. It wasn't until the mid-1960's that satellite TV made this possible.
- Israel: This is the most important sign. Israel is God's prophetic time piece. Daniel 9:24-27 prophesys the First Coming of Jesus Christ, and begins the timing from the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem. Luke 21:24 tells us to watch Jerusalem, that it will be trampled down by the Gentiles "until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled." There are many other Scriptures that tie Israel to the end-time plan of God. Fulfillment of these prophecies, and the nation of Israel's return to the land, indicates that we are living in the season of Jesus' return.
One hundred years ago, there were no signs. Today, the signs are everywhere!
